Paradise is nothing but total relaxation

Do you want to discover what is needed to walk your life in a more relaxed way, while you enjoy an adventurous Safari in Tanzania with everything to it? This is only possible with Mindful Adventure. We invite you in a double adventure among friends, who are willing just like you to find a deeper relaxation towards life and at the same time feel more alive and joyful.

The wild nature in Africa, the walks, meditations, healings, and sharings with your fellow travellers will help you to become more free of restricting habits in your daily life. You will learn to life more from the heart, which will create better relationships. You can change your life, if only you know what to do.

This safari is also a vacation and we will provide for you an unforgettable meeting with our Masaï friends in Ngorongoro and help you trace for Lions, Cheetahs, Leopards, Giraffes, Elephants and more at Serengeti. From there we will show you two great Lake areas in Tanzania. After sailing and hiking at Rubondo Island, enjoying the diversity of birds, you will be surprised by Hippos coming ashore after 5.00 pm and be impressed by face to face meetings with Bushbocks, Impalas and Gazelles which stare at you with their big wonderlingly eyes. A Crocodile will slowly pass if you pay attention. Later you will walk through the Rainforest, searching for Chimpansees, which hang lazy in their tree or intensily panic when the Alpha male joins them.

Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Lake Victoria, Mwanza, Rubondo Island, Lake Tanganyika, Gombe National Park and Arusha.

This meditation/yoga retreat, as a Safari, is about connecting with nature in a profound way. This process is supported by sleeping in the wild with light weight tents but for sure comfortable mattresses. It is sensational to wake up in Serengeti and listen to the sounds of grazing buffalos or the roaring of a lion. You will also sleep in normal and luxury hotels during this retreat.

We travel with our own cook and it is possible to ask for a vegetarian menu.

Vaccinations: In Tanzania some vaccinations are recommended. Please make contact with the Tropical Centre in your country to get actual information. You can also ask them everything you need to know about Malaria prevention.

Clothes for traveling: It is advisable to travel and wear cotton clothes in the colours of het environment. Do bring a warm jumper for cool nights. You will need sunglasses and a hat or cap. More information will be given by Mindful Adventure.

Money Matters: The local currency in Tanzania is the Tanzanian shilling. 1 euro is about 2300 shilling. In the bigger cities it is easy to pin money with your credit card, unfortunately it often doesn’t work with your bank card.

Tips drivers/guides: The tip for your driver/guide is between UDS 10-20 per person a day collected by the group.

Telephone and internet: Telephone and fax work reasonably well in Tanzania, although international conversations are very expensive. The best thing to do is replace your simcard with a Tanzanian one. InsuranceMake sure you have a health insurance with ample coverage abroad.

Malaria profylaxe: Treatment of Malaria has been strongly improved the past few years. But Malaria profylaxe is medication which is advised to take anyway. You can order it at your GP’s. Many travelers prefer ‘Malarone’ to “Lariam’ or the combination of ‘Nivaquine’ and ‘Paludrine’, because ‘Malarone’ doesn’t have many side-effects. Malaria profylaxe doesn’t offer complete protection however. It is still sensible to cover arms and legs and use an anti-insect spray for your uncovered hands and face, like ‘Deet 50’.

Other precautions: Hygiene in East Africa is pretty good, but for drinking water you should use cooked or bottled water only.

What to bring

Bring good walking shoes, bandages for blisters and a pair of comfortable slippers. Because of the bright afternoon sun it is advisable to bring suncream with a high protection factor (30) and also after sun. Try to find a natural suncream because there is a connection between skin cancer and these products.
