14 Days Hear the voice of Silence Safari

- This yoga retreat is available on several dates ("Select Dates" on right side panel) -

In the hectic pace of daily life in the West, nature brings rest and peace. The purer and less populated, the more you can relax. By slowing down and taking moments to be still and in addition to doing exercises that increase your vibrancy, you're more aware of what is happening in your inner world and the world outside of you. The reward is that you will see better how beautiful the present moment is; how you are constantly supported in your essential needs; how you can relax because nothing is threatening you; how you can relax more because you are a mature, powerful, capable human being and how you are part of an intelligent and coherent existence.

During this meditation-yoga retreat, you will experience different landscapes of the earth and your mind. A unique safari experience gets weaved with meditation, breath work, yoga, sharing and nature exercises to connect with yourself and others from the heart.

Yoga retreat highlights:

  • Exploration of unique trails and landscapes
  • Sufi breathing Meditation, Chakra meditation, Bio-energetic exercises, five rhythms Gabriëlle Roth

Ngorongoro Crater Highlands in Northern Tanzania is positioned in the Top 10 of most spectacular Landscapes in the world. In fourteen days you will visit Arusha, Tarangire Wildpark, Ngorongoro Crater Highland Trekking, Lake Natron and Serengeti.

The heart of this Safari is shaped by an old Masaï trail which we will follow in four days from the village Endonyowas to the famous Lake Natron just outside Ngorongoro Crater Highland. Of course we will also trace for Lions, Cheetahs, Elephants and more in famous Serengeti.

During this yoga adventure retreat, for four days you will walk about 12 to 15 km. And every day will show you a different kind of landscape (Savannah, Jungle, Mountains, Crater and Desert).

This Safari is about connecting with nature in a profound way. This process is supported by sleeping in the wild with light weight tents but for sure comfortable mattresses. It is sensational to wake up in Serengeti and listen to the sounds of grazing buffalos or the roaring of a lion or leopard.

Travel information

Travel documents and visaAll travelers to Tanzania and Kenya need a passport and a return ticket to the country. The passport needs to be valid at least another six months. A visa is compulsory to enter Tanzania. You can apply for your visa from 3 months before departure at the Tanzanian Consulate in your country. You will receive the visa within 7 workdays. It is easier to collect your visum at the Tanzanian airport or border. Costs: $ 50

Time Difference: In summer Tanzania is 1 hour later than in The Netherlands and in winter 2 hours (in summer it’s GMT+2 and in winter it’s GMT+3). Look at the time difference in your owncountry.

Vaccinations: In Tanzania some vaccinations are recommended. Please make contact with the Tropical Centre in your country to get actual information. You can also ask them everything you need to know about Malaria prevention.

Clothes for traveling: It is advisable to travel and wear cotton clothes in the colours of the environment. Do bring a warm jumper for cool nights. You will need sunglasses and a hat or cap. More practical information will be provided after booking.

Money Matters: The local currency in Tanzania is the Tanzanian shilling. 1 euro is about 2300 shilling. In bigger cities it is easy to pin money with your credit card, unfortunately it often doesn’t work with your bank card.

Tips drivers/guides: The tip for your guide/cook is between UDS 15 and 20 per person a day collected by the group.

Telephone and internet: Telephone and fax work reasonably well in Tanzania, although international conversations are very expensive. The best thing to do is replace your simcard with a Tanzanian one. Voltage: In Tanzania 240 Volt alternating current is used. You will need a plug with three flat pens.

What to bring

Bring good walking shoes, bandages for blisters and a pair of comfortable slippers.

Because of the bright afternoon sun it is advisable to bring suncream with a high protection factor (30) and also after sun. Try to find a natural suncream because there is a connection between skin cancer and these products.

Alina de Vilder

Originally Alina is counselor and teacher of meditation techniques. She runs her own therapy/meditation centre in Hoorn (the Netherlands). In the past 25 years she collected a large scale of techniques from many diciplines like Mindfulness, Breathing meditations, Sufimethods, Yoga excersises, Relaxationmethods, Bio-energetic excersises and Visualisations. After a long career as a therapist/counselor she followed the adventure that crossed her path and started Mindful Adventure. She is happy that by founding Mindful Adventure The Masaï of Endonyowas will be assured with much needed income generated by the travelers. Furthermore Msafiri will have a better future and the dreamschool of Endonyowas will be supported.

Msafiri Mosses Kivuyo

Msafiri is a young professional guide and driver. He is a Masaï that grew up in Arusha. His name means ‘traveller’.

He is proud of his heritage despite the hard life that came with it. More then anything he longs to be more free in his life. This sense of being free gives him a natural and strong connection with truth. He follows his heart with Mindful Adventure and has been working hard to organize all practical aspects of the Safaris in Tanzania. He speaks good English and a little French. He wil provide you with all information about the people, landscapes, culture, history and off course the flora and fauna of his country. Sitting around the fire he can tell you many stories about the history and traditions of the Masaï. His humor and typical Msafiri laugh will be remembered by you when you return home.
