Holistic treatments

The ancient Indians have realized already 5000 years ago what matters! The harmony of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects is crucial for your health and well-being.

The Ayurveda is a method which focuses on the human being as a whole, not the disease in particular. The UTMT wellness hotel in Sri Lanka offers facilities for professional guidance in terms of traditional Ayurvedic therapy. The treatments are individually tailored by our professional practitioners. You can select a package to suit your needs.

Things to do

Buddhist Temples

Sri Lanka is a beautiful tropical paradise where locals have to follow the Buddhist religion throughout the ages. With over two millennia of history in Buddhism, Sri Lanka is what one would call a ‘Buddhist’s Heaven’. Many of the Buddhist temples in Sri Lanka are thousands of years old but their ruins still contain a sense of mystery and magic to those who visit.

All Buddhist sites in Sri Lanka are venerated by Buddhists and respected by the other minor religious sects that make the island their home.

There are multiple Buddhist temples within a 2hr radius of UTMT and tours can be arranged to visit these stunning sites.

Uncrowded line-ups, consistent swells, inviting turquoise waters and stunning backdrops make up the surf spots in Sri Lanka. With a verity of beach and reef breaks, there is something for all levels. We have surfed some hidden gems along the South Coast of Sri Lanka and can arrange surf lessons and guide. Check out Magic Seaweed for swell reports.

Sri Lanka's Wildlife

Brimming with an abundance of beautiful creatures from free roaming Elephants, rambunctious monkeys and majestic blue whales. We can set up an adventure for you to see the unspoiled nature, the harmony of the animal world in freedom, a wildlife experience as it should be.

MC YOGI grew up painting graffiti & listening to hip hop music. At age fourteen, inspired by artists like the Beastie Boys & Run DMC he began writing his own raps and free styling for friends at house parties. MC Yogi spent most of his high school years at a group home for at-risk youth. During those turbulent years, Hip Hop culture provided both a soundtrack and a creative outlet.

Then at age eighteen, he discovered yoga. On a whim, he joined his father for a meditation intensive with a famous spiritual teacher from India. Deeply moved by this powerful experience, he devoted himself to learning everything he could about the ancient discipline. He continues to study the physical forms of yoga, as well as meditation, philosophy, and devotional chanting.

MC YOGI’S Albums, combine his loves of yoga and hip hop music and features guest performances by kirtan masters Jai Uttal, Krishna Das, and Bhagavan Das. His latest collaboration, RITUAL MYSTICAL (feat East Forest), made history by going #1 on iTunes Electronic charts — Aug. 2016. In 2015, his ONLY LOVE IS REAL album debuted #12 Billboard Heatseekers + #24 iTunes Hip-hop — featuring guest performances from Matisyahu and Trevor Hall.

MC YOGI and his wife Amanda Giacomini (founder of the 10,000 Buddhas Project) tour nationally and internationally with his music and their yoga teachings.

Amanda Giacomini

Amanda Giacomini has over 15 years of study and practice of the yogic arts, and is the co-founder of Yoga Toes Studio in Point Reyes, California. Amanda offers a Vinyasa Flow practice that is creative, playful, and nurturing. Her gentle and intelligent adjustments make her classes and workshops accessible to everyone, regardless of age and physical ability.

Her primary influences are from the Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Anusara, and Siddha yoga traditions. Amanda believes in yoga as a path of personal responsibility, transformation, and empowerment. She encourages students to use the tools of yoga to create the highest vision for themselves, and that through their commitment and practice a world of peace and beauty is possible.

Amanda tours nationally and internationally with her husband, yoga hip hop artist MC YOGI. Together they lead workshops that combine yoga with myths, mantras, music and art. Currently, she is working on a project to paint 10,000 Buddhas around the world, bringing people together through art!
