What is Vinyasa yoga?
“Vinyasa” is a Sanskrit word meaning “flow”, however the term is also widely used for referencing a dynamic style of yoga practiced as one breath tied to one movement.
Vinyasa yoga practice denotes a fast paced, multi-levels yoga practice and is deeply rooted in the connection of breath in movement. Flow yoga introduces energetic hand gestures such as mudras in practice. Transitions, called vinyasas are embodied as linkages within and between asana, these transitions work to shift and balance the movement of energy within us.
