Cité du Vin
Of course, no visit to Bordeaux would be complete without a trip to the Cité du Vin. With a budget of 63 million pounds, this amazing wine centre was erected in 2016 and now offers over 10 hours of educational audio about the process of making wine, and it’s wine shop houses 800 different kinds of wine. The centre does an excellent job of educating tourists not only about wine, but the relationship between wine and art, wine and religion, and wine and culture over the course of human history. Wine- drinker or not, the Cité du Vin is sure to have something interesting for everyone!

Place de la Bourse
Place de la Bourse is a stunning sight to see– built in the 1720’s, the palace and square now stands as a symbol of Bordeaux. While you’re there, make sure you notice the Water Mirror, an installation created by landscape artist Michel Corajoud.

Take a long, leisurely stroll down Bordeaux’s beautiful waterfront. There are plenty of flowers, open grass plots, and nice benches to allow anyone to sit and take in the beauty.
