Annalisa is the founder and organizer of CampBellyDance,LLC. As an instructor of Improvisational Tribal Style, Tribal Fusion Belly Dance, and Yoga in Costa Rica's southern zone, her focus has been on building community through dance. Her classes are designed for the absolute beginner, yogis, dancer's aspiring to cross train in another art form, or anyone simply seeking dance as a form of fitness, fun, and overall personal development. She received most of her dance training from Anaya Tribal, a troupe based out of Phoenix, Arizona and Rachel Brice, a world renowned international performer and teacher based out of Portland, Oregon. Her passion and abilities are accredited to her teachers and a dedicated, ritualistic personal practice that includes cross training with African Dance and Urban Street Styles. In addition, to being a dancer and teacher, Annalisa is a mother of two, and an organic gardener, who has dedicated the past eight years of her life to raising her children in Costa Rica on their family farm, developing a deep connection with nature along with a sound understanding of where real food comes from and how to produce it using sustainable methods. Understanding that the key to physical, emotional, and spiritual growth comes from being self-disciplined and having a devoted daily practice she encourages her students to discover a path that leads them to their higher selves.
Alexandra began her yoga journey after sustaining a neck & heel injury after years of competitive dance. In the spring of 2008, she worked at a local studio where she became exposed to a variety of yoga styles. Yoga restored the connection between her heart, body, mind and soul to the beautiful world that surrounds us and reignited the spark of divine energy that lives within each of us. To her, yoga brought an inner discovery of the Self, her true Self, and was a stepping-stone that sparked the path of becoming a teacher and spreading the message of natural healing & wellness to the planet. Her motto is, ‘Heal yourself, heal the planet’. In 2013, she was trained under Kamini Desai in Yoga Nidra at Spirit of Yoga and went on to continue her education at Inner Vision Yoga, receiving her 200 Hour teaching certification. In 2015, she completed her Level 1 Kundalini Yoga teacher training at Anahata Yoga in Scottsdale, Arizona under Sevak Singh and Sangeet Kaur Khalsa. Certified in Yoga & Kundalini Level 1. Alexandra is also a trained sound healer, nutritional coach and urban farmer. Believing that we all have the ability to heal ourselves, she guides her students to be present within their own practice, to find the light within, and to reestablish that connection with ones true divinity.
