Course description

The course is designed in a way as to not only serve the physical needs but also to break the mental limitations of our students. Our Yoga teacher training includes advance physical postures to less intensive and more restorative sessions. During all our Yoga certification programs, we introduce students to the various styles of Hatha Yoga and its contemporary practices like Ashtanga yoga and multi-styled themed Vinyasa Flow. Focusing on accurate alignment of these styles, cues on commands, physical and spiritual awareness of various Yoga postures, benefits and contradictions along with the knowledge of injuries will be some aspects of our 200 hours Yoga Teacher certification. Our multi-styled Asanas exposes a budding Teacher to the Yoga style that resonates the most and will help them decide to take advanced courses based on that style in future. Himalayan Yoga Bliss is one of the best contemporary Yoga school in India to learn yoga philosophy in a realistic manner keeping in mind the ancient knowledge passed through thousands of years by various Gurus and sages. Students are guided through the four paths of Yoga and its synthesis to open your mind to amazing new ideas and restructure your understanding of Yoga from the previous knowledge of only the physical practises. Classical Yoga Philosophy of Patanjali Yoga sutras is intertwined all through the course. Introduction to many aspects of ancient and contemporary Meditation, Pranayama breathing techniques, Ayurveda and its relationship with Yoga, scientific benefits of Sanskrit mantra chanting, Yoga mudras, Kriya inner cleansing techniques and various other elements that make Yoga a complete practice is introduced to our Yoga Teacher training students. providing them with a strong foundation. This provides a clear understanding as to why they practise Yoga and why this ancient art has brought immense inner contentment to all the practitioners worldwide. You will leave the course with your inner third eye well and truly opened with a new understanding of Yoga, your ability to relate to this world and most importantly to yourself. Our Yoga certification programs are not only limited to subtle Yoga philosophy but our typical schedule a combination of technicalities and subtle approach. This makes our training syllabus really unique giving our Yoga Teacher training students a chance to introduce their students to Yoga through their mats. Our syllabus is carefully tailored to provide our students all the tools needed teaching and deepening self-practise, such as technical workshops particularly emphasising on the more demanding and advanced postures. Breakdown of various styles and a thorough introduction and immersion into its alignment and adjustments. These workshops are held and practised with the aim of assessing the visual progress that is done in our everyday Asana practice session. This serves as a reminder of the fact that Yogic asanas are fun and interactive with an opportunity to explore the limitations and intelligence of our physical body. Postures are attained and excelled through intense self-discipline and concentration during the practice. The vital sheath and the mysticism of our breath are explored through the practice and understanding of Pranayama. Students will start practising teaching methods right from the second week, this will give them tonnes of opportunity to work on their stage fear, cues on commands, right instruction and knowledge of individual postures. In the end of the class, a group feedback is given by Teachers and students pointing out their strengths and areas where they can improve. This tremendously helps every student develop their teaching skills further, incorporating more confidence in every future practical class they teach. In the final week, students will design and give a full Vinyasa Yoga class as part of their final exam which will be guided by our Teachers all along. We encourage creativity and imagination here. As ultimately it will transform our students to develop fully as bright Yoga teachers ready with all tools and techniques to teach after the completion of our Yoga teacher training. Here at Himalayan Yoga bliss, all our Yoga certification programs are specially designed to understand the student and accordingly help them nourish not only their physical ability but also their ability to react to every situation with grace and Yogic ethics instilled in them. Her aim is to make Yoga teacher training reachable to everyone in order to help students from various backgrounds and cultures from all around the world to experience the mystical powers of the Himalayas and the inspiration it has bestowed upon Yogis for centuries. So she started Yoga Teacher Training In India through Himalayan Yoga bliss. She is a certified ERYT 200 & RYT 500 yoga instructor who likes to connect the eastern philosophies of Yoga to the contemporary west. She was born in a devout spiritual Buddhist family and from an early age understood and learnt the concepts of Mantra chanting, Yoga philosophy, the art of Vipasana and Meditation from her grandmother. Her classes are subtle but intense connecting every movement to the breath or “PRANA” the life force and vitality of our spirit. She believes that every relaxed and comfortable pose is a Yoga pose and that a true Yogi should be very comfortable with their body and its limitations. Being a pure Bhakti Yogini at heart, her approach to the Yogic philosophy starts from the core of her inner self. She says that to understand the higher conciousness, its very important to the know the real self. Only through the journey of heart one can enter the gateway of Cosmic love. To enter Yoga, its a must to drop one’s logic and ego and eventually conquer the Mind. She believes that the “Mastery of mind” indeed is the goal of Yoga and its practioner. There is no higher goal than this. Om Tat sat.

I did my 200h Mixed-Styled TTC in Darjeeling with Sonam and her handpicked 😉 amazing teacher team! I wanted to say thank you for this beautiful and enriching experiences! In my eyes, this beautiful small school offers the best concept of organizing a TTC - the classes are super small (max 15) which enables the teachers to acknowledge each students individual needs and allows time for individual questions & discussions. - the yogic knowledge is so wast and there is so many sides to it, and the HYB managed to pick a very special and useful selection of this knowledge - including an expeptionally intensive & wast part concerning asanas, alignments and adjustments, a beautiful philosophy class, and loads and loads of tips and tricks concerning the art of teaching. These are in the focus, but we also learned about anatomy, ayurveda, and a lot more. During my Time in Darjeeling the team and the concept of the school made us students all feel like a little family, it was really beautiful. Somehow they managed not only to give us as much of their yogic superpowers as possible, but also to foster our personal growth. It was really a magical time which Im very very thankful for. you'll always be in my heart! From Himalayan Yoga Bliss Facebook Page

    "One of a kind!"
I completed my YTTC at Himalayan Yoga Bliss & Wellness Centre in November 2017. I was overall pleased with the teaching, organization and content of the training program. We had 3 knowledgeable teachers with whom we not only improved our own personal practice, but learned best practices from as well. Each had their own style and strength in teaching and providing valuable feedback on both technical asanas and philosophical concepts. I appreciated that all 3 teachers were open, honest and available throughout the duration of the program. The organization of the program was fairly well executed, there was an overall structure to the course with some room for flexibility based on our class' preferences. A little bit of everything! Through the content of the program, our group walked away having learned a wealth of knowledge - from asanas, to pranayama, to active meditation to Ayurveda, this program provided us with a very strong foundation in each! The team at Himalayan Yoga Bliss & Wellness Centre is one-of-a-kind - they're genuine, patient and incredibly talented. I am very grateful to have learned so much from them and their beautiful city! - Google Review

    "Wonderful"
I enjoyed a lot my 200 hours teacher training at Himalayan Yoga Bliss. From the first second of searching for a yoga teacher course in India and getting my first reply to my questions until finishing the course I only had positive experiences. They have a wonderful team of teachers showing different aspects of yoga. My personal thoughts about yoga deepened more having been taught by our teachers and seeing different approaches there. Everybody working in the Yoga Bliss was very caring and helpful. I can only recommend this wonderful center. - Google Review

    "Great!"
I just returned home from a 300 hour Teacher Training and had an excellent overall experience. The studio and surrounding area has a beautiful view of the Himalayan Mountains. Darjeeling maintains a small town feel despite is significant growth over the recent years. I found the staff and teachers to be very kind, knowledgeable and accommodating. Part of the yoga practice includes basic living standards, so as long as one comes with simple expectations and an open mind I can't imagine that it would not be a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in self growth and looking for a deeper understanding of what yoga is all about. - Google Review

    "Great"
It's hard to put such an incredible experience into words. I enjoyed everyday of my 200h YTT at the Himalayan Yoga Bliss School. It is beautifully located in the mystic mountains. The teachers are very well selected and knowledgeable. The group atmosphere was phenomenal, representing all ages from 23-50 we grew as a family. Also our wonderful chef took good care and was very accommodating. It took a few days to get adjusted to the cold climate, altitude and foreign culture but I would have not changed a thing. I would definitely return in the future! Namaste. Google Reviews

    "Grateful for the experience"
I wanted to become a yoga teacher, and I could not have imagined a more meaningful and comprehensive training program. I learned a very broad array of yogic principles and practices and had opportunities to deepen my understanding of things I'd been exposed to prior. I've been practicing yoga for approx 10 years, and think I probably got as much or more out of my 200-hr training as those who were somewhat new to yoga. The way the information was organized gave a very broad and well-thought-out program for newer practitioners while also giving those more experienced increased depth. I came into the program with a lot of questions around why teachers commonly do particular things in yoga classes - saying sanskrit terms (which I thought was useless), chanting and "Om"ing, etc. I came away with answers to all of these and am excited to share with students the significance of these practices, rather than having people go through the motions. The studio was amazing. It is near the top of a Himalayan foothill with 180 degress of glass facing out into a large Darjeeling valley and overlooking the world's third tallest mountain. This program was perfect for me - I came to India to learn as much as possible during my month here, and Himalayan Yoga Bliss, Sonam and Mahadeva were awesome and incredibly knowledgeable. I can't imagine having done it somewhere else. I should mention that I don't think this is a training program for those interested in drinking/going out. We had a lot of opportunities to go out to dinner and explore (I even ate enough momos to rank fifteen of Darjeeling's momo restaurants - yeah, I'm a dork), but it seemed everyone there came to learn and practice yoga. We had plenty of time to socialize and get close to each other, and the group really helped each other along to maximize our experiences. I thought I was more-or-less checking a box to get my certification and didn't expect to be personally challenged in so many positive ways. I left the program completely ready to teach. I'm grateful for the experience. - Google Review
