Great team who is working toegther to make sure we get the best service while we are learning the Pranayam, Asan and Philosophy classes about the Yoga. Guruji is very experience yogi, and he went above and beyond in supporting each student during our program. I wish our program wouldn't fly so fast, but when you having lots of fun and enjoying time, time usually goes by quickly. From Trip Advisor

It took me a while to find a place where I wanted to do my yoga teacher training course; first, I was looking in India, but all the places had at least 30 participants, so I started looking up retreats in Nepal, the actual birth place of Yoga. Nepal Yoga Retreat in the Kathmandu Valley caught my eye and I knew this would be it (although I had read a few not so great reviews, I trusted my gut feeling). I arrived and it felt like home instantly. The staff, the rooms, the views, the fresh air, the silence, the food, the massage - perfect! I was very lucky as we were only 7 (beautiful!) girls doing this course together. We learned a lot, had plenty of time to philosophise with Guru Ji (Dr. Chintamani), Warren and Martha and we were very well looked after in every way. I can only recommend this place to everyone, whether you are just passing by, looking for a week of relaxation or wanting to do the YTTC - Nepal Yoga Retreat is the place for you! ~*~ Namaste ~*~ From Trip Advisor

After much research I decided to do my Yoga Teacher Training in Nepal at the Nepal Yoga Retreat in October 2017..I can not recommend it enough the training the whole experience was really so special. Our teacher Guruji did everything possible to accommodate all our needs. The food was always fresh and delicious and so much of it with the wonderful staff coming back again and again to fill our plates. I fell in love with Nepal and stayed at the White House which is good in winter as it gets a lot of sun. Bamboo is cooler in the summer. If you want and authentic experience go there with an open heart and mind. Work at your own pace with the postures until your fitness improves be aware of your limits. You must stay for the Ceremony at the end, so much work goes into it...I had the best time thank you Nepal Yoga Retreat I will be back...Many blessings Cherie Australia 🙂 From Tripadvisor

I came to the Nepal Yoga Academy for the 200 hour teacher training course in Jan-Feb 2018, and stayed at 'Bamboo House'. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with hot showers and heaters - it was very cold so I would recommend thermals and layers if you're planning to visit at this time of year! The food is delicious, every meal is balanced and healthy and it's impossible to not eat seconds! Breakfast was our favourite meal - pancakes or porridge or muesli, so so delicious. The kitchen staff are amazing and take such good care of everyone - you feel part of a family with such wholesome home cooked Nepalese food. The views across the valley are breathtaking and the yoga Shala is a calm and positive place to practise. Our routine of asan, Pranayam, philosophy, workshop and then asan and meditation meant that the course was a comprehensive overview of everything yog, not just asan. We also learnt mantra chants which was such a great addition - Guruji has an amazing voice and group chanting is great for the soul, I always felt so elated afterwards. I haven't sung in a group since choir when I was a child! And last but not least the whole experience was made by the people. Guruji works hard to cultivate a positive space that is welcoming from everyone and his efforts have paid off. The group I studied with were from all over the world, and we developed such a strong bond as a group - I've made friends for life. Guruji is incredibly knowledgeable and full of life altering wisdom, he's warm and positive, and his passion for everything yog is infectious. I'm honoured to have learnt from such a fantastic Guru. Krishna and Warren were also exceptional gurus, I'll never forget them for the wisdom, kindness and compassion they showed us all. It's been unforgettable. Truly life changing, I can't recommend it more. If you come here with an open heart and an open mind you will leave with more than a qualification, you will leave with friends, positivity, new life skills and a solid understanding to begin your yogic journey in life. • "Really helped me to widen my knowledge about true meaning of Yoga!"
Completed YTT 200 hours in January 2017 and absolutely loved it. Dr.Chintamani is well qualified and helped me to broaden my knowledge about classical yoga practice. Most important thing I learnt there was yog is not only about Asana and there is a much more in-depth meaning to it. It was truly an eye opener. My group consisted of 16 students from 12 different countries. It was an awesome experience of making friends from different parts of the world and we made a family there. While being thankful to Dr.Chintamai and the staff for their amazing support I recommend this place to anyone who is keen to practice and learn more about classical yoga. From Tripadvisor

    "YTT Perfect"
Did my Ytt200 from Nepal Yoga academy and loved it. From day 1 with Dr. Chintamani, it felt I chose the perfect place for the certification and I recommend this place 100%. The day is structured to cater to the advanced as well as the beginner level practitioner. The mornings, especially, were perfect with Neti, Pranayam, asana and then breakfast. The meals are really satisfying and the servings are endless. The great thing about this place is the constant flow of new people who come to practice yoga. It's refreshing meeting people with different levels of practice, interacting and learning from them. The staff at the academy is also really caring and the Ayuervadic massage is something special. Being a ytt student it's important to time out when you take your two allotted massages because your body really starts to feel the burn in week 3. 😉 I highly recommend this place and i would advise that once you get there just let everything else go and just focus on you and your practice. Separate yourself from your usual needs and be one with your goal of learning and advancing your practice. You will feel the difference. Oh and Warren's the man! From Tripadvisor

  • " Best yoga journey ever, peaceful place with amazing view! YTT 200h"
I just come back from my 200h YTT at the Nepal Yoga Retreat. This was the best trip I ever did, not only to learn yoga with excellent teachers but also to find peace and love in myself. The location is amazing, far from the chaotic atmosphere of Kathmandu it is a very quiet and restful place, perfect to practice yoga and relax. The view is simply breathtaking, the rooms are simple but very clean and have everything required. A huge plus to the staff, who is so helpful and caring, always ready to help you to be comfortable, and the food is really delicious!! I simply recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a break from our hectic world! And the YTT is absolutely awesome, for beginners as well as more advanced yogis!3 From Tripadvisor
