How to get thereBy Air: Flights to Bangalore are available from the US, Europe and from all major Indian cities. The newly opened Bengaluru International Airport is one hour away from Shreyas and is a beautiful drive through the countryside; the road by-passes the Bangalore and its chaotic traffic. Airlines: Air France, British Airways, Gulf Air, Jetstar Asia Airways, KLM, Lufthansa, Malaysian Airlines, Royal Nepal Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Emirates & Sri Lankan Airlines and others. Balasundar Iyer | Head – Yoga & Spiritual / Holistic Counseling / Meditation
Balasundar comes from an ashram background. He has spent the last 18 years learning, practicing and teaching Yoga and Meditation under many adepts and masters. He has conducted classes, courses, retreats and workshops in Yoga and Meditation for students, young adults, families and corporate sector. He has taught Yoga at many local and international schools in Bangalore and Hyderabad. He designs and facilitates instructional Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Yoga Nidra, Trataka and Meditation sessions. He is also trained to counsel the guests in adopting appropriate lifestyle changes. Balasundar holds a masters degree - M.A in Sociology from Mysore University, India. He has also done a course on Psychological Counseling.
Ramakant Kar | Ashtanga Vinyasa Instructor
Ramakant is a Certified Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher from the Mandala Ashtanga Yogashala, Mysore, India. He has been practicising Yoga since his childhood. Since 2004, he is part of the Shreyas team and handles Group as well as Private Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga sessions. He was instrumental in bringing out the Ashtanga Vinyasa series of Yoga booklets at Shreyas.
Rita Boro | Hatha Yoga Instructor
Rita is a Sivananda Yoga Trained Teacher and has been teaching Hatha Yoga at Shreyas since 2010. She has been a practitioner of Yoga since 10 years. She also manages our organic garden.
Manikanta | Hatha Yoga Instructor
Manikanta is a Certified Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher from the Mandala Ashtanga Yogashala, Mysore, India. He has also learnt Hatha and Power Yoga and has been practicing Yoga since 5 years. He has been teaching Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga at Shreyas since 2010. He is also a trained Ayurvedic and Rejuvenation Massage Therapist.
Rucha Sukhramani | Meditation and Yoga instructor Rucha has done her Bachelors in Physical Education with a major in Yoga from LNIPE, Gwalior, India in 1996, and then furthered her studies of Hatha Yoga and Yoga Therapy from Sri Vivekananda Yoga Anusandana (SVYASA), Bangalore in 1996. She maintains a dedicated practice and continues to study Hatha Yoga, spiritual processes and Indian scriptures like Bhagavad Gita under the guidance of her spiritual teacher, Sri Shankar Narayan. Since the inception in 2004, she is part of Shreyas and was instrumental in setting up the Yoga and Wellness team. She designs and facilitates instructional Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Yoga Nidra, Trataka and Meditation sessions. She is also trained in Yoga therapy and counsels the guests in adopting appropriate lifestyle changes. Earlier to her stint at Shreyas, she was a responsible for setting up the Yoga Center in Manipal Hospital, in Bangalore, India. She worked there as a therapist, teaching Asanas, Pranayama and Meditation techniques for managing and preventing ailments like Asthma, Diabetes, Hypertension, Backache, Arthritis etc.
