About the place

Shreyas Retreat is situated on the outskirts of Bangalore near Nelamangala. There are many historical and spiritual sites in the surrounding areas. The stress of urban living lives its imprint on each of us, the chaotic noise makes it difficult for us to hear our inner voice; at Shreyas we give you an oasis of calm making it easier to relax and connect with your true self. From the moment you drive through our gates you are surrounded by nature and will begin to feel its restorative effects. Shreyas is a seamless blend of the modern and the timeless, luxury and simplicity, indulgence and enlightenment. The private, serene and “simply” luxurious accommodation has been structured to make the guest feel like they are living in the middle of nature. The architecture and interiors are a confluence of traditional and the modern – tiled roofs, antique doorways and stone pillars give way to contemporary interiors and state of the art facilities.

Food

The meals during Silent retreat are also specially customized and prepared with ingredients that are known to calm the mind and are easy to digest. The ingredients for the meals are freshly hand-picked from our organic vegetable and herb gardens, and all preparations are light and nutritious. According to Ayurveda, self-imposed mouna (silent) during eating greatly aids digestion and improves overall health.

I was blown away by my experience at this retreat. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff are extremely caring and welcoming, the food is absolutely amazing. I loved my entire life changing experience here and would go back in a heartbeat. It is on the pricier side for sure, but it is one of the few places where I can confidently say it was completely worth it. From Tripadvisor

    "A Piece of Paradise!"
"I chose Shreyas for a 3 night 4 day yoga retreat, it was wonderful from start to finish, my only regret was I couldn't stay longer. Below are some of the highlights:- • Garden room - beautiful, fresh flowers daily, open air bathroom and porch which was so peaceful to sit out at night, enjoy the breeze and the sound of the birds • Yoga/meditation/pranayama - great, instructors are fabulous, challenging and yoga adapted to your personal needs. I returned with an increased commitment to my daily yoga and flagging mediation practise - going well so far • Grounds - fabulous, just beautiful • Food - unbelievable, organic food grown onsite, absolutely delicious! Aside from all the above the thing that makes Shreyas a truly wonderful place to visit is the people, everyone you come in contact with is so helpful and do everything possible to ensure you enjoy your stay and benefit from the retreat as much as possible, this makes it impossible to acknowledge individuals because there would be too many names. If you are considering a retreat don’t waste any more time contemplating you will not find anywhere better!" - From TripAdvisor

    "Unbelievable experience"
"I literally just left Shreyas after an amazing 8 days and can't really explain how amazing, wonderful, welcoming, beautiful, relaxing, engaging, challenging, incredible the whole trip was. The yoga was challenging, but well managed to support any level, and done in a beautiful outdoor setting. The garden room that I stayed in was fantastic- great bed, gorgeous bathroom, and relaxing porch. The food... Goodness. Wow. Also loved the community activities. But best of all were the people. The staff at Shreyas are unbelievable. Their warmth and attentiveness and attention to detail would put a 5 star hotel to shame. Really can't recommend Shreyas enough. A slice of heaven." - From TripAdvisor

"People who consider their work as worship!"
"The setting is one of acres and acres of green carpeting, the choir of birds the only sound for miles, and the rustling of coconut palms gently soothing your city-challenged nerves. This haven is a place I highly recommend you take yourself -- if it's purity of service and purpose you're looking for. The folks at Shreyas are non-intrusive, and oh so intuitive to your every need, not to mention the epitome of seamless service. A place where 'namaste' is more than just a greeting: it's a true connection of souls -- from the security guards and gardeners to Management. Their doctors and yoga and meditation teachers know what they're doing and treat you with such respect. Is it any wonder that they have regulars who come at least once a year from all over the world?! Given a chance I'd stay and wash the dishes or tend their garden -- if they'd have me, because once you leave their gates, the air is immediately different as if there is a magical veil between Shreyas and the rest of the world." - From TripAdvisor

"A beautiful and fulfilling experience which no words can describe!"
"This special retreat was better than we could have imagined! We spent 3 amazing days enjoying yoga, meditation, scrumptious food in a place where we could not have asked for better love and attention. We were 3 friends sharing the 3 bedroom villa which provided us with very comfortable ensuite rooms and a lovely living area which we could use to relax and unwind. Although the accommodation was so comfortable you could not resist the temptation to walk around the retreat and use the facilities (steam, swimming pool and spa). The gardens were also beautiful to walk around where all organic produce is grown and prepared for our meals. I could not recommend this place enough, if you are looking to further enhance your yoga and meditation practice or you are just looking to have a relaxing and rejuvenating experience in a beautiful and quiet setting. The staff take care of your every need and always have your best interests at heart which is what makes this place so special. I will be surely making a visit back again soon! Thank you Shreya's for giving me a very memorable and life changing experience!" - From Tripadvisor
