It is easy to eat healthily in Indonesia, you just have to know where to look! Though many places offer their fair share of meat or animal- based dishes, there are still plenty of vegetables and fruits served alongside fresh rice and noodles.

Nalu Bowls

Nalu Bowls are the original smoothie bowls that many have tried to replicate. Servings are large and filling enough for a serving for breakfast, or even lunch to cool down from the tropical heat.
 Because they are mainly just fruit, look for them in cities that have lots of fruit stands. You can also find them in larger cities such as Jakarta.

Earth Cafe

Offering a beautiful plant-based menu as well as organic groceries. There are 2 cafes, one in Seminyak and one in Ubud.


Serving contemporary quality dishes in a beautiful setting. Located in Seminyak.


The first vegan restaurant but worth a visit even for non-vegans. Offering holistic retreats and a health store on site. Located Ubud.
