Of all the reasons to come to Rishikesh, the one you probably did not consider is the food. But just because a place has amazing cultural, spiritual and natural draw doesn’t mean it has to sacrifice in terms of culinary excellence, and that is definitely the case for Rishikesh! This beautiful city features a beautiful and healthy cuisine, strongly influenced by the local culture and religion–you won’t find meat or alcohol ad most restaurants due to the religious significance, which makes this a great spot for vegetarian travelers!
