What to Pack for Costa Rica

Congrats!  You’re going to practice Yoga in Costa Rica!  Get ready live la pura vida… but first – what to pack for this awesome retreat holiday?  Don’t worry – we’ve got you covered.  Remember that this is a tropical beach climate, so less is more.  Here’s a great list of must-have items for a successful trip:

      • A couple of footwear options (water shoes and flip flops that can get wet + dry quickly for the beach and ocean, avoid bringing heavy hiking shoes or tennis shoes that are slow to dry)
      • Bathing Suits (at least 2 so you have one available while the other is drying)
      • Casual clothes — e.g., shorts & sundresses for daytime, dresses + light layered cardigan for evenings
      • Chargers for phone, camera, and computer
      • Eye pillow for savasana (optional)
      • Hat
      • Lightweight backpack for hiking so you can be hands-free
      • Natural bug repellant (Blue Spirit has taken all precautions, and the breeze keeps bugs at bay but it is a good idea to have on hand if needed)
      • Notebook, pens, pencils to write or draw your beautiful ideas
      • Sunblock
      • Sunglasses
      • Water bottle that you can re-fill
      • Yoga practice clothes (see recommendations below)

If possible, please try to bring 2-3 of the Chakra colors so that you can align with that chakra on its specified day.

    • 1st Chakra: Red
    • 2nd Chakra: Orange
    • 3rd Chakra: Yellow
    • 4th Chakra: Green
    • 5th Chakra: Turquoise
    • 6th Chakra: Indigo
    • 7th Chakra: Violet or Whit
