Jivamukti Yoga is a yoga method founded by David Life and Sharon Gannon in 1984. It combines the physical, philosophical and spiritual aspects of Yoga. Asana Practice is important in Jivamukti Yoga, but also meditation, chanting and the study of the ancient texts are included in most lectures. The classes include Vinyasa, hands-on adjustments, Pranayama, meditation, Sanskrit chanting, Yogic philosophical teachings and deep relaxation. Music is playing an integral role in the class.
