Many of our teachers are certified in Akhanda (holistic) Yoga, and so we aim to provide students and practitioners with access to the variety of techniques available in the yogic repertoires, such as asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), mantra (yogic sound syllables), dharana (visualization), dhyana (meditation), and sutras (yogic aphorisms to reflect on and help you to bring yoga into your daily life off the mat). A variety of these techniques may be used in any given class, and specific techniques may be elaborated on in workshops or special-focus classes, such as our meditation classes.

We offer different levels of physical intensity, as well as different levels of experience.

Elise Elise has have been practicing yoga for the past 10 years and her love for the practice led her to complete her Yoga Teacher Training in Toronto. With a background in the legal field and interests in acting and other activities, she found her yoga practice helpful in remaining balanced and creative. Yoga has become a moving meditation for her, where she is able to flow with breath and subtle energy with gentle focus for awareness. She shares her love for yoga through her classes and feels her students are in turn, teachers to her. She teaches Hatha and flow yoga, with an emphasis on finding ease in movements, guiding students to connect with breath, mind and body.


Heather began her yoga journey several years back when tension and long hours at a desk job started making her body stiff and cranky. Turning to yoga as a sustainable way to reverse that trend, she was amazed at how much better she felt physically, emotionally and spiritually. Compelled to share this with others, she completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2010. She has since done training in Yin Yoga, Yoga 4 Kids, Partner Yoga and mat Pilates. Heather finds yoga allows her to feel stronger and calmer and she strives to provide classes that are approachable yet challenging; energizing but relaxing. She is grateful to the many wonderful instructors and students that she has the opportunity to practice with.
