Peter Kjær Esbensen. Co-founder of YOGAMUDRA.
To me the best thing about yoga is that the practice can be used both as a barometer of my physical / mental state while at the same time there is a wide range of practices available to meet the needs of this state. Relevance is the key word - what is needed here and now. Yoga is not limited to practice on the mat, but contributes to all aspects of life.
Ann Benedikte Hansen
Today I work as a yoga teacher and lecturer. I am a trained (200-hour Yoga Alliance certified) yoga teacher by Ann-Charlotte Monrad and have also participated in numerous courses and workshops with yoga teachers from home and abroad, including yoga therapy ("Yoga as Medicine") by Dr. Timothy McCall and Yin yoga with Victor Chang. Additionally, I have over the last 5 years been interested in and practiced Ayurveda/Ayurvedic lifestyle, which include taking several courses with my friend and mentor Dr. Sanjay Pisharodi and I have been on an Ayurvedic retreat with him in India.
My practice started in 2012, and it is constantly changing. Since I started I have become acquainted with Jivamukti, Astanga, Sama, Yin, Kundalini and Anusara yoga and more. I use my practice to listen and reflect, be present, to understand, expand, nourish and grow.
Heidi Sørensen I have been practicing yoga for many years in different fitness centres, at evening courses and yoga schools. Before my Astanga practice at YOGAMUDRA, I have been especially inspired by and attended classes regularly with Simon Krohn. My main practice is Astanga yoga, and at the moment I practice 5-6 times a week. I love the dynamic flow of Astanga, and the feeling of my breath carrying me through all the poses. Here I get the sense of faith in life, and here I feel a centring of my self in a, at times, chaotic world.
