Iyengar Yoga is a system of Yoga developed by B. K. S. Iyengar, is a branch of Hatha Yoga that emphasizes detail, precision and alignment in posture (asana) and respiratory work (pranayama). The development of strength, mobility and stability is acquired through the practice of asana. Often, elements such as belts, wooden blocks, blankets, etc. are used for the execution of different postures (asanas).
